You will need a basic knowledge of sewing. You will provide fabric and thread. A lightweight woven fabric such as cotton lawn, seersucker and viscose is ideal, or for a bit of luxury, and if you’re a confident sewer, there’s nothing to stop you using silk.
The pattern (which I will provide for you to cut out) is available in sizes 6-20. For fabric requirements click here which will take you to Sew Over It’s website. If you need help please contact me.
The pattern includes a variety of sleeve lengths. Collar can be same fabric or a contrast. Advanced sewers could add cuffs to the sleeves.
Estimated timetable – this will vary depending on your skill level and how much you do between classes.
Class 1 – Layout pattern, cut out. Construct bodice and collar.
Class 2 – Facings, prepare sleeves
Class 3 – Set in sleeves, hems and finishing
Class size is a maximum of 4 people ensuring plenty of individual attention.
Class cost £45 per class or £120 for three classes payable in advance.
